Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Bengaluru has been awarded the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Trophy for Best NDA Result for the Academic Year 2025-26, recognising the school’s performance in preparing cadets for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA).
The trophy was presented on September 15 during the award ceremony held as part of the Annual Principals’ and Administrative Officers’ Conference of Rashtriya Military Schools at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
The conference was chaired by Lt Gen Vipul Shinghal, AVSM, SM, DCOAS (IS&T) and attended by Lt Gen Ajay Ramdev, SM, Director General Integrated Training, and Maj Gen (Dr) Tamojeet Biswas, Additional Director General Army Education and Head of Service, Army Education Corps.
Principals and Administrative Officers from all five Rashtriya Military Schools also participated in the conference, which brought together senior military leadership, distinguished guests, alumni and representatives of the schools.
Among the distinguished alumni present were Ashok Lavasa, IAS (Retd), alumnus of RMS Belgaum, and Lt Gen SN Handa, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd), alumnus of RMS Ajmer, who attended as chief guests.
The conference focused on reviewing institutional performance, sharing best practices and further strengthening standards in academics, leadership, discipline and holistic cadet development.
The recognition of RMS Bengaluru highlights the role of Rashtriya Military Schools in nurturing students with a combination of academic excellence, leadership qualities and military-oriented discipline, while preparing them for careers in the Armed Forces.
