Hockey India has announced free entry for spectators at the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026, inviting fans to experience top-level international hockey as the prestigious continental tournament returns to Punjab from October 27 to November 5.
The ninth edition of the tournament will be staged across two venues — Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar and Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali — with a total of 20 matches scheduled across the two cities.
Jalandhar will host all league-stage matches from October 27 to November 2, while Mohali will stage the semi-finals and medal matches on November 4 and 5.
Spectators can obtain free digital entry passes through “Ticketgenie” (https://ticketgenie.in/Event/Mens-Asian-Champions-Trophy-2026) or its mobile application. After registering, fans can select their preferred matches and receive a digital pass featuring a QR code, which must be scanned at the venue for entry.
Hockey India President and former India captain Dr Dilip Tirkey said the initiative aims to encourage greater fan participation and bring supporters closer to the sport.
“By making entry free for the Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026, we hope to bring more supporters to the stands and give them an opportunity to experience the excitement of top-level international hockey,” Tirkey said.
“Hockey has always enjoyed a special place in Punjab, and we want fans to be part of this celebration of the sport,”. He added that free entry would make the tournament more accessible to families, young players and hockey enthusiasts while giving them an opportunity to watch Asia’s leading teams compete.

India will begin their campaign against Bangladesh on October 27 before taking on China on October 29, Japan on October 30, Malaysia on November 1 and South Korea on November 2.
With international hockey returning to one of India’s traditional hockey heartlands, the tournament is expected to provide a major platform for showcasing the continent’s top teams while strengthening the sport’s connection with its passionate fan base.
