The Trophy Tour for the Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026 began in Mohali on October 18, bringing the excitement of the upcoming men’s continental hockey tournament closer to fans across Punjab.
Flagged off from the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali, the nine-day tour will travel through several cities and towns, including Patiala, Amritsar, Bathinda, Ludhiana and Kapurthala, before reaching Jalandhar on October 26.
The initiative aims to build anticipation for the ninth edition of the tournament while celebrating Punjab’s rich hockey heritage and connecting local communities with the prestigious international competition.
Punjab has long been a major contributor to Indian hockey, producing generations of players who have represented the country on the international stage. The Trophy Tour seeks to honour this legacy by encouraging fans, aspiring hockey players and local communities to rally behind the national team ahead of the tournament.

The competition will begin in Jalandhar, where the Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium will host the league-stage matches from October 27 to November 2. The tournament will then move to Mohali for the semi-finals and medal matches on November 4 and 5 at the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium.
Established in 2011, the Asian Champions Trophy brings together some of the continent’s leading hockey teams and has become a key event on the international hockey calendar.
India, the tournament’s most successful team with five titles, will aim to strengthen its record on home soil. Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, China and Bangladesh will join the hosts in the six-team competition.
