Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Lt Gen N. S. Raja Subramani, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, visited 106 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) PARA in Bengaluru on September 26, 2026.
The CDS was received by the Battalion Commanding Officer, Col Tejas B. Candade, SM, and Subedar Major Manoj Bisht.
During the visit, Lt Gen Raja Subramani felicitated Maj Manivannan P, IAS, Commissioner, Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA), by presenting him with the CDS Commendation Card in recognition of his sustained and tireless service and significant contribution to the Indian Army.
The ceremony was attended by personnel from all ranks of the battalion.
The visit was followed by an interaction over tea with the troops, during which the CDS engaged with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and other personnel of the battalion. He appreciated their professionalism, commitment and dedication to service.
The interaction provided an opportunity for the CDS to acknowledge the contribution of the battalion and encourage its personnel to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline and service.
