The spirit of Raksha Bandhan came alive in Leh on Friday as students from several schools tied Rakhis to troops of the Ladakh Scouts, celebrating the enduring bond of affection, respect and trust between the Armed Forces and the people of Ladakh.

The heartfelt gesture by the young students was a touching expression of gratitude towards the soldiers who remain committed to safeguarding the nation and serving communities in the region.

With Rakhis tied on the wrists of the troops, the celebration reflected the strong emotional connection between the soldiers and the local community. The children also conveyed their heartfelt wishes and appreciation for the courage, dedication and sacrifices of the Armed Forces.

For the troops, the occasion was marked by smiles, warm interactions and the affection of the young students, making the festival especially meaningful.

The celebration also highlighted the unique relationship shared between the Armed Forces and the people of Ladakh—a bond that extends beyond duty and geography and is rooted in mutual respect, trust and a shared sense of belonging.

The Raksha Bandhan celebration served as a poignant reminder of the gratitude felt by the region’s younger generation towards the soldiers who stand guard in some of the country’s most challenging and remote terrain.
