    BSF Pays Solemn Tribute to Kargil War Martyr Late Ct. Ganesh Chandra Ghosh

    Recently 194 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) solemnly commemorated the supreme sacrifice of Martyr Late Ct. Ganesh Chandra Ghosh by organizing a Shraddhanjali Samaroh at Noonaganj Village at Nadia in West Bengal, the martyr’s native place, on the occasion of the anniversary of his martyrdom during the Kargil War on 05 July 1999.

    The ceremony commenced with a tribute address by Sh. M.V.S. Mugunthan, Commandant, 194 Battalion BSF, who paid heartfelt homage to the brave soldier and highlighted his exemplary courage, unwavering patriotism and selfless devotion in the service of the nation. BSF personnel, along with civil dignitaries, offered floral tributes at the martyr’s statue as a mark of profound respect and gratitude.

    In recognition of the family’s enduring sacrifice, the martyr’s brothers, Sh. Mantu Ghosh and Sh. Gopal Chandra Ghosh, along with their family members, were felicitated with gifts by the Commandant.

    The programme witnessed the participation of all ranks of 194 Battalion BSF, led by the Commandant, and civilians, including the martyr’s family members, local public representatives and villagers.

    The ceremony concluded with renewed resolve to honour the legacy of the nation’s bravehearts and reaffirmed the BSF’s unwavering commitment to preserving the values of courage, sacrifice and selfless service to the nation, while inspiring the younger generation to emulate these ideals.
