Tawang witnessed an inspiring display of youth empowerment and nation building during the Annual Combined Training Camp organised by 2nd AP NCC Battalion in collaboration with the Indian Army.
Nearly 500 NCC cadets from schools and colleges of East Kameng, West Kameng, Nafra and Tawang participated in the camp, making it one of the largest NCC gatherings in the region.
Boys and girls from Junior Division , Senior Division , Junior Wing and Senior Wing came together on a common platform, fostering unity, discipline, leadership and patriotism among the youth.
The camp focused on developing cadets into responsible and capable citizens through a balanced blend of military orientation and social awareness activities. Cadets received practical exposure to firing, weapon handling, martial arts, drone operations and basic combat life saving skills, which enhanced their confidence, physical endurance, teamwork and operational awareness.
The training also provided young cadets with firsthand insight into the professionalism, discipline and ethos of the Armed Forces.Alongside military oriented activities, the camp placed equal emphasis on social responsibility and civic consciousness.
Cadets actively participated in tree plantation and cleanliness drives while also being sensitised towards environmental protection, cyber security and responsible digital conduct.
Lectures on Op Sindoor and Join Indian Army further motivated cadets by highlighting the role of the Armed Forces in nation building and inspiring youth to contribute towards national service.
The camp served as a significant step in shaping young minds into disciplined leaders and future torch bearers of the nation.
