Headquarters Spear Corps conducted the three-day Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise Sarva Suraksha 2026 from 04–06 June 2026 at Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur. The exercise involved troops of Spear Corps, 12 Battalion NDRF, SDRF, and representatives from key civil and military disaster management agencies.
Aimed at enhancing inter-agency coordination, validating SOPs, and improving disaster response preparedness, the exercise focused on flood relief operations across Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, and Tripura. Activities included search and rescue, casualty evacuation, relief camp management, emergency medical support, drone-assisted reconnaissance, rescue boat operations, and specialised flood rescue drills.
Key highlights included drone-assisted rescue operations and rapid construction of a Medium Girder Bridge, showcasing Spear Corps’ engineering capabilities and swift response in restoring critical connectivity. The exercise strengthened interoperability, communication, and coordinated disaster response across the North East.
