On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth spent time with Indian Army personnel in Ranchi, tying rakhis on soldiers and sharing the spirit of the festival with those serving the nation.

Seth said the occasion was a reminder of the deep bond of trust, affection and gratitude between the people of India and the armed forces.

“On the sacred occasion of Raksha Bandhan, today I had the privilege of spending time with the brave soldiers of the Indian Army in Ranchi. I tied rakhis on the soldiers, conversed with them, and shared the joys of this festival with them,” Seth said.

He described the festival as a symbol of the nation’s gratitude towards soldiers who remain vigilant to protect the country.

“This occasion is a symbol of the unbreakable bond of trust, affection, and gratitude towards our brave soldiers who are always vigilant in defending the nation,” he said.

Seth also underlined the contribution of the armed forces to India’s national security, saying the courage and dedication of soldiers remain the foundation of the country’s strength.

“The dedication and courage of our soldiers form the foundation of the country’s security and strength,” he added.

The Raksha Bandhan interaction provided an opportunity to acknowledge the sacrifices and commitment of Army personnel and reaffirm the strong emotional connection between the armed forces and the citizens they serve.

The festival, traditionally associated with the bond between brothers and sisters, took on a broader national significance as rakhis were tied on soldiers serving away from their families. The gesture reflected public appreciation for personnel who remain committed to their duties while separated from their loved ones.
