Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a multi-nation visit to France and Slovakia from June 13 to 18, 2026, aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships, boosting innovation cooperation, and enhancing India’s engagement with Europe and the G7 nations.

During the first leg of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Nice, France, for bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on June 14. The leaders will review the full spectrum of India-France ties under the recently elevated Special Global Strategic Partnership and jointly inaugurate the Bharat Innovates event, bringing together leading startups and venture capital funds from India, France and other countries.

From June 14 to 16, the Prime Minister will undertake a State Visit to Slovakia at the invitation of Prime Minister Robert Fico. The visit will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since its independence in 1993. Discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, automobile manufacturing and railway sectors. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to meet Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.

The Prime Minister will then participate in the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on June 16-17 as an invited leader. He will join discussions on global partnerships, sustainable economic growth, international solidarity and the responsible deployment of Artificial Intelligence. Several bilateral meetings with world leaders are also planned on the sidelines of the summit.

In the final phase of the tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit Paris on June 18 for bilateral engagements and participation in the VivaTech Summit, Europe’s largest technology and startup event. He is also expected to interact with members of the Indian diaspora.

The visit is expected to deepen India’s partnerships with France, Slovakia and the European Union, while highlighting India’s growing role as a leading voice of the Global South and a global hub for innovation, digital transformation and entrepreneurship.
