    NCC West Bengal & Sikkim Strengthens Collaboration with Government of West Bengal for Youth Development

    Maj Gen Amar Pal Singh Chahal, Sena Medal, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate West Bengal & Sikkim, called on Dr. Indranil Khan,  Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of West Bengal today.

    During the interaction, the ADG highlighted the National Cadet Corps’ significant contribution towards nation-building, character development, leadership training, and youth empowerment. He also apprised the  Minister of the notable achievements of NCC cadets in sports and other fields, reflecting their commitment, discipline, and excellence while bringing distinction to the State of West Bengal.

    The meeting underscored the shared commitment of the NCC and the Government of West Bengal towards nurturing future leaders, promoting sporting excellence, and expanding opportunities for the holistic development of the youth through enhanced cooperation and institutional synergy.

    Dr. Indranil Khan, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of West Bengal, has been actively promoting sports development and youth empowerment across the State. His focus on strengthening sports infrastructure, nurturing grassroots talent, and expanding opportunities for young athletes reflects the Government’s commitment to fostering sporting excellence and holistic youth development. Through various initiatives and collaborative efforts, he continues to encourage greater participation in sports and leadership development among the youth of West Bengal.

    The collaboration between the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports and the NCC will significantly strengthen youth development initiatives in West Bengal. By combining NCC’s leadership and discipline training with the State’s sports development programmes, greater opportunities can be created for young talent to excel in sports and nation-building activities. This synergy will contribute to fostering a generation of confident, disciplined, and socially responsible youth.
