ADG, NCC Directorate Gujarat called on Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, recently and presented a comprehensive Action Plan outlining the proposed integration of NCC Directorate Gujarat in the preparatory phase as well as the final conduct of the Commonwealth Games 2030.
During the interaction, Major General Bimal Monga, SM, VSM, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, apprised the Chief Minister of the Directorate’s ongoing technology-driven initiatives aimed at transforming NCC cadets into future-ready leaders. These initiatives encompass specialised training in Cyber Defence, Drone Operations, Digital & AI Leadership, and Disaster Response, thereby enhancing the operational and technological capabilities of the youth.
The ADG also highlighted the Directorate’s significant contribution towards the promotion of sports and physical excellence in the state. NCC Gujarat has consistently encouraged cadet participation in national-level sporting events, adventure activities, and youth competitions, producing talented sportspersons who have excelled at national and international platforms. Through structured physical training, sporting competitions, and leadership development programmes, the Directorate continues to foster a culture of fitness, discipline, teamwork, and competitive excellence among the youth of Gujarat.
Chief Minister lauded the exemplary efforts and achievements of NCC Directorate Gujarat in moulding the youth into disciplined, technologically adept, and socially responsible leaders. He appreciated the Directorate’s role in nation-building and expressed confidence that NCC cadets would make a meaningful contribution towards the successful conduct of the Commonwealth Games 2030 and play a pivotal role in realising the vision of a ‘Sashakt and Viksit Bharat’.
