NCC Directorate Gujarat marked the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 with widespread participation across the state, organising yoga sessions at 158 locations, including 15 iconic venues such as the Statue of Unity, Somnath Temple, Atal Bridge, Sun Temple Modhera, and Dandi Beach.

Approximately 38,000 NCC cadets from all 33 districts of Gujarat, as well as the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, participated in the celebrations, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to promoting health, discipline, and holistic development among the youth.

The yoga sessions focused on enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, self-discipline, and overall wellness among cadets and members of the local community. The events reinforced the message of yoga as a way of life and encouraged greater awareness of its role in fostering a healthy and balanced society.

The large-scale observance of International Day of Yoga across Gujarat highlighted NCC Directorate Gujarat’s continued dedication to nation-building through the development of disciplined, confident, healthy, and socially responsible young citizens.

The initiative aligns with the broader national vision of creating a Swasth and Sashakt Bharat, with NCC cadets playing a key role in promoting the values of fitness, unity, and service to the nation.
