Approximately 200 cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), representing 22 states, including Gujarat, have commenced intensive parade training in Ahmedabad under the aegis of NCC Directorate Gujarat. Marching in synchronisation with contingents of the BSF, CISF, SSB and other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the cadets are undergoing rigorous drill sessions to prepare for the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations on 31 October 2026 at Kevadia, Gujarat.
Following 10 days of integrated training, the cadets will participate in the celebrations commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, at the iconic Statue of Unity. Patel’s visionary leadership and unwavering determination played a pivotal role in the political integration of India.
The Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) will also serve as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, bringing together cadets from diverse states to experience India’s rich cultural diversity, traditions and heritage. The camp aims to foster camaraderie, mutual understanding and a deep sense of national pride and unity among the young participants.
Set against the majestic backdrop of the Statue of Unity, the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations will pay tribute to Sardar Patel’s enduring legacy and his vision of a united and strong India.
Through SNIC and its participation in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the NCC reiterates its commitment to shaping disciplined, responsible and patriotic youth, united by one guiding principle — “Nation First.”
