    Major Crackdown: Joint Forces Arrest Cadres, Seize Explosives

    Last week Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps, in close conjunction with Manipur Police, conducted a series of precise, intelligence-driven joint operations across Kakching, Chandel and Tengnoupal Districts. The operations led to the apprehension of 03 cadres from hill and valley-based groups and the recovery of 06 weapons, explosives and other war-like stores.

    Based on Intelligence inputs, Assam Rifles launched a joint operation with the Kakching Commando team at Kakching Lamkhai Laipham Loknung. During the operation an active cadre of the PREPAK (Pro) was apprehended.

    Based on another credible intelligence report Assam Rifles conducted a coordinated operation in the Tengnoupal District and apprehended a PREPAK (PRO) cadre and a PLA cadre.

    Last week , Assam Rifles conducted a operation in the jungle areas of T Bongmol, Tengnoupal District and recovered one rifle, one carbine, two radio sets and four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
    Besides Assam Rifles and Chandel Police carried out a joint operation in the dense marshy forests near Khumkot Village in the Khengjoi Sub Division and recovered four Rifles, four Pompi, seven Bombs, three Grenades with one detonator and five Radio Sets.
