As part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet Operational Deployment, INS Kulish arrived at Ream Naval Base in Cambodia on 12 September 2026, with the visit aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and enhancing professional ties between the Indian Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy.
The warship was received upon arrival by representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy and officials from the Embassy of India in Cambodia.
During the port visit, Indian and Cambodian naval personnel will participate in a range of activities, including professional interactions, familiarisation visits, sporting events and structured naval engagements. These activities are intended to facilitate the exchange of operational knowledge, strengthen mutual understanding and enhance cooperation between the two navies.
The visit is part of India’s ongoing efforts to expand maritime outreach and strengthen partnerships across the Indo-Pacific. It also reflects India’s commitment to the Act East Policy and the vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).
The port call further underlines India’s endeavour to promote a free, open, inclusive and rules-based maritime environment while deepening maritime partnerships with countries in the region.
