On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day 2026, the Indian Army organised a Medical Camp and Health Awareness Lecture at Manigong on 01 July 2026, reaffirming its continued commitment towards the health and well-being of communities residing in remote border areas.

The programme commenced with an awareness lecture highlighting the importance of preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, early diagnosis and timely medical consultation. Participants were encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and remain vigilant towards common health concerns to improve their overall quality of life.

Following the lecture, a comprehensive medical camp was conducted, during which Army medical personnel provided free medical consultations, basic health check-ups and guidance on common ailments. Essential medicines were also distributed free of cost to patients based on medical requirements.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, who appreciated the Indian Army’s continued efforts towards promoting healthcare awareness and delivering essential medical services in remote areas. The initiative not only enhanced awareness regarding preventive healthcare but also strengthened the enduring bond of trust, cooperation and military-civil synergy between the Indian Army and the local community.

Such outreach initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment towards community welfare, public health and the holistic development of frontier regions while serving the nation with its enduring ethos of “Service Before Self.”
