The three-day Training Command Commanders’ Conference 2026 of the Indian Air Force (IAF) concluded at Headquarters Training Command in Bengaluru on Saturday, with senior commanders deliberating on ways to align training programmes with the force’s evolving operational requirements.
The conference, held from September 10 to 12, was presided over by Air Marshal S Shrinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command. Commanders of training establishments under the Training Command, along with senior officials from its headquarters, participated in the annual conference.
The deliberations focused on strengthening the IAF’s training architecture and enhancing operational capabilities amid an increasingly complex security environment. Guest lectures on the IAF’s future acquisition plans and policy updates concerning the induction of Agniveervayus were also delivered during the conference.
Senior branch heads presented detailed reviews of their respective domains and outlined initiatives undertaken to address challenges and meet training objectives.
Addressing the gathering, Air Marshal Shrinivas stressed the importance of transformative training in maintaining and enhancing the IAF’s combat readiness. He also commended the various training establishments for their professional excellence and achievements.
As part of the conference, trophies were presented to stations for outstanding performance in operations, maintenance and administration.
The ‘Pride of the Training Command’ trophy was awarded to Air Force Station Yelahanka in recognition of its exceptional performance.
