The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Sarang Helicopter Display Team has arrived in Egypt to participate in the 2nd edition of the El Alamein International Airshow, scheduled to be held from 08 to 10 September 2026 at El Alamein International Airport.
Renowned as the world’s only five-helicopter aerobatic display team, Sarang will showcase the operational precision, flying discipline and exceptional airmanship of the Indian Air Force through a series of meticulously choreographed aerial displays.
Operating the indigenously designed and manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, the team is recognised globally for its demanding formation manoeuvres, close-proximity flying and highly synchronised aerial sequences. The displays will highlight both the exceptional skill of IAF aircrew and the growing capabilities of India’s indigenous aerospace industry.

As part of its aerial presentation, Sarang will perform its signature “Dolphin Leap” manoeuvre and unveil a new aerial sequence, the “Spot Stall Turn.” The displays are expected to provide aviation enthusiasts and international audiences with a demonstration of the agility, versatility and manoeuvring capabilities of the ALH Dhruv.
The participation of the Sarang team carries significance beyond the airshow arena, reflecting the expanding defence cooperation and growing strategic partnership between India and Egypt. It also provides an important platform for professional interaction with air forces and international aerospace teams participating in the event.
The El Alamein International Airshow brings together leading air forces, defence establishments and stakeholders from the global aerospace, defence and space sectors. Sarang’s participation will add a distinctive Indian dimension to the event while reinforcing the IAF’s growing international engagement and India’s commitment to strengthening defence and diplomatic partnerships with friendly nations.
