Balochistan has announced a comprehensive vision to develop a modern, inclusive, and internationally competitive sporting nation, with a focus on creating opportunities for Baloch athletes to participate on the global stage.

In a national declaration on international sports participation and global athletic engagement, Mir Yar Baloch outlined  Balochistan’s commitment to promoting peace, friendship, fair play, and sporting excellence. The statement emphasized that every talented Baloch athlete should have the opportunity to compete internationally.

According to the declaration, Balochistan plans to establish national federations and governing bodies for major sports, including football, cricket, athletics, hockey, basketball, volleyball, boxing, wrestling, martial arts, tennis, chess, esports, and other disciplines. These institutions will focus on grassroots development, professional coaching, women’s participation, youth empowerment, and athlete welfare.

Mir Yar Baloch stated that  Balochistan intends to engage with international sporting organizations in accordance with their respective statutes and membership procedures. These include FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Cricket Council (ICC), World Athletics, FIBA, the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the International Chess Federation (FIDE), the International Esports Federation (IESF), and other regional and international sporting bodies.

The declaration highlighted football’s deep connection with Baloch culture, particularly the historic football traditions of Lyari, a Baloch-majority area widely celebrated for its passion for the sport and often referred to as “Little Brazil.” The statement noted that Lyari has produced talented football players and that during every FIFA World Cup, the area transforms into a celebration of football, with communities coming together in the spirit of the world’s biggest sporting event.

Balochistan announced plans to launch a National Football Development Programme along with similar initiatives in other sports. These programmes aim to identify and nurture talented athletes through modern coaching systems, youth academies, sports science, scholarships, and international exchange opportunities.

Mir Yar Baloch further invited friendly countries, national sports federations, Olympic committees, professional clubs, universities, and international sporting institutions to co-operate with  Balochistan by supporting coaching programmes, technical assistance, athlete exchanges, scholarships, friendly matches, and training camps, in accordance with applicable sporting regulations.

The declaration reaffirmed  Balochistan’s commitment to integrity, equality, athlete welfare, and internationally recognized principles of fair play.

    Mir Yar Baloch’s statement concluded:

“The Republic of Balochistan is committed to the highest standards of integrity, equality, athlete welfare, and internationally recognized principles of fair play. We look forward to working with the global sporting community to promote friendship, inspire future generations, and enable Baloch athletes to contribute positively to international sport.”

Balochistan has unveiled a vision to expand its participation in international sports, with a focus on nurturing local talent and creating pathways for athletes to compete on the global stage. The initiative highlights the role of sports in youth development, community engagement, and international recognition. Sports advocates have called for greater investment in training facilities, coaching programs, and opportunities for athletes to represent the region in major competitions. The move reflects a broader effort to use sports as a tool for building connections, encouraging excellence, and showcasing athletic talent beyond regional boundaries.
