    From Sainik School Goalpara to the IAF: Flying Officer K Niraj Chandra Singha Commissioned in Meteorology Branch

    Flying Officer K Niraj Chandra Singha from Assam has achieved a significant milestone by being commissioned into the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the Meteorology Branch during the Combined Graduation Parade held at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, on June 13, 2026.

    An alumnus of Sainik School Goalpara, Flying Officer Singha’s commissioning marks the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance and unwavering commitment towards serving the nation. Nurturing the dream of joining the Armed Forces from a young age, he remained focused on his goal despite numerous challenges along the way.

    During his formative years at Sainik School Goalpara, he imbibed the values of discipline, leadership, resilience and patriotism. Inspired by senior cadets and distinguished alumni serving the nation in various capacities, he developed a strong resolve to pursue a career in uniform.

    To strengthen his professional and academic credentials, Flying Officer Singha completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree while also mentoring young aspirants preparing for careers in the Armed Forces. His journey reflects a consistent commitment to self-improvement and nation-building.

    Through determination, hard work and perseverance, he successfully secured recommendation for the Indian Air Force’s Meteorology Branch, translating his long-cherished aspiration into reality.

    Speaking on his achievement, Flying Officer Singha credited his success to the unwavering support of his parents, the values instilled by Sainik School Goalpara and his faith in the Almighty.

    His inspiring journey serves as a source of motivation for youth across the North East, demonstrating that dedication, discipline and perseverance can help transform aspirations into distinguished careers in service of the nation.
