The Defence Accounts Department (DAD) has achieved a significant milestone by completing the 100 per cent normalisation of discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy on the SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha) platform.
The achievement has been realised through a focused, mission-mode drive involving close monitoring, systematic examination of cases and coordinated action by the concerned offices. The concerted efforts have resulted in the successful normalisation of all 1,45,182 discrepant pension cases pertaining to the two Services.
The Service-wise progress is as follows:
– Indian Air Force: 1,12,638 cases — 100 per cent normalised
– Indian Navy: 32,544 cases — 100 per cent normalised
The Department has also made substantial progress in addressing discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Army. Of the total 3,94,779 discrepant cases, 3,90,336 cases, constituting 98.8 per cent, have already been normalised on SPARSH.
The milestone reflects the sustained efforts and coordinated action undertaken by the Defence Accounts Department, particularly the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) [PCDA (Pension)], towards ensuring timely resolution of pension discrepancies and strengthening the SPARSH pension administration ecosystem.
The achievement further underscores the Department’s commitment to providing efficient, transparent and responsive pension services to defence pensioners and their families, while continuously improving the digital delivery of pension-related services.
