Lt Gen SS Kartikeya, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Brahmastra Corps, undertook a visit to forward area locations under the aegis of Eastern Command to review the formation’s operational preparedness and assess the readiness of troops deployed in forward areas.

During the visit, Lt Gen Kartikeya interacted with officers and troops and took stock of the prevailing operational environment, preparedness levels and the measures being undertaken to maintain a high state of readiness. The interaction provided an opportunity for the Corps Commander to engage directly with personnel serving in challenging forward locations and gain an assessment of their operational commitments and requirements.

The Corps Commander reviewed the preparedness of the formations and units and emphasised the importance of maintaining a high degree of professionalism, vigilance and operational effectiveness. His visit also underscored the significance of sustained readiness by troops deployed in forward areas, where personnel operate under demanding conditions and remain prepared to respond to evolving operational requirements.

Interacting with officers and soldiers, Lt Gen SS Kartikeya acknowledged the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all ranks in the discharge of their duties. He lauded the troops for their professionalism, discipline and unwavering commitment to duty, recognising their contribution towards maintaining the operational readiness of the formation.

The visit also served as a morale-boosting interaction for personnel deployed in forward areas. Direct engagement by senior military leadership provides troops an opportunity to highlight operational experiences and reinforces the importance attached to their role in maintaining the security and preparedness of the area of responsibility.

The Corps Commander’s visit reflects the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on operational preparedness, troop welfare and leadership engagement at the ground level. The interaction with personnel in forward locations reaffirmed the resolve of the formation to remain vigilant, professionally prepared and capable of meeting operational challenges.
