    Army Wrestler Akshay Tanaji Dhere Clinches U23 Asian Gold for India

    The Indian Army has congratulated Havildar Akshay Tanaji Dhere of the prestigious Ball of Fire Division under Gajraj Corps for winning the gold medal at the U23 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Da Nang, Vietnam.The Indian Army who are always made more than a billion people of the Motherland feel safe by guarding India’s International borders with their selfless sacrifice and dedication has also been very prominent with its contribution towards sports helping the country provide some of the best athletes on the global stage.

    Indian wrestlers delivered an impressive performance at the continental event, securing two gold medals in freestyle wrestling and underlining the country’s growing dominance on the Asian stage.
    Competing in the 57 kg freestyle category, Akshay Tanaji Dhere showcased exceptional skill and determination to defeat Yelaman Amangeldiyev 4-2 in the final and clinch the top podium finish.

    India’s second gold came in the 97 kg freestyle category, where Vicky emerged victorious after a closely contested 7-5 win over Sherzod Poyonov in the final bout.
    Havildar Dhere’s achievement has brought immense pride to both the Nation and the Indian Army. His success reflects years of dedication, discipline, and relentless hard work, further strengthening the Army’s reputation for nurturing sporting excellence.

    In its congratulatory message, the Indian Army stated that the accomplishment highlights its continued commitment to promoting sports and fostering resilience, discipline, and excellence among its personnel. The Army added that Havildar Dhere’s success would inspire young athletes and soldiers across the country.
    Gajraj Corps also extended its heartfelt congratulations to Havildar Akshay Tanaji Dhere and wished him continued success in future competitions.
