Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, relinquished command of the Eastern Command upon superannuation, after a illustrious military career spanning nearly four decades of distinguished service to the Nation.
During his tenure as General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, he was instrumental in providing visionary leadership and strategic direction in one of the most sensitive and operationally active theatres of the country. Under his stewardship, the Command witnessed significant enhancement in operational preparedness, capability development, and force modernisation, ensuring a robust and responsive posture along the Eastern frontiers.
The General Officer played a pivotal role in strengthening border management mechanisms and fostering seamless coordination with sister services and civil administration.
