Arsenal have ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title, confirmed on Tuesday night as Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth. Junior Kroupi’s strike put the hosts ahead in the 39th minute, and although Erling Haaland equalised in stoppage time, Arsenal’s lead remained insurmountable, sparking jubilant celebrations outside the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners’ triumph marks their 14th English league title, capping a season defined by resilience and tactical mastery under manager Mikel Arteta. Arsenal conceded just 26 goals, kept 19 clean sheets, and set a Premier League-era record with 18 goals from corners. Unlike previous seasons when late-season slips cost them the title, Arsenal maintained composure and consistency, ensuring City could not catch up.
Arteta, who joined the club in December 2019, becomes the first former Premier League player to win the trophy as a manager. Former manager Arsene Wenger and players including Declan Rice shared their congratulations on social media, praising the team’s dedication and Arteta’s vision.
Arsenal will conclude their domestic season at Crystal Palace on Sunday before facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on May 30, aiming to cap a historic season with European glory.
