The Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Bengaluru, on Saturday hosted the Passing-out Parade of the 107th Aeronautical Engineering Course (AEC), marking the completion of 62 weeks of training.
A total of 118 Engineering Officers, including five officers from Friendly Foreign Countries, graduated from the course.
Air Marshal Yalla Umesh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, was the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer. He was received by Air Commodore VN Rao, Commandant, AFTC.
The parade featured a performance by the Air Warrior Drill Team, a flypast by Dornier aircraft and Mi-17 helicopters, and a motorcycle display by the Indian Army’s ‘Tornadoes’ team.
Flying Officer Raghvendra Pratap Singh received the Sword of Honour for securing first place in the overall order of merit. The President’s Plaque for the best officer in professional subjects and General Service Training went to Flying Officer Vaibhav Mishra.
The Chief of the Air Staff Medals for securing first place in the Electronics and Mechanical streams were awarded to Flying Officer Rohan Veer Singh Rawat and Flying Officer Keshika K, respectively.
Addressing the graduating officers, Air Marshal Yalla Umesh congratulated them on completing their training and urged them to uphold professionalism, integrity and dedication to service. He also called on the officers to contribute to the operational readiness of the Indian Air Force and uphold its traditions.
