General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Southern Command, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, visited the Headquarters of the South Western Air Command (SWAC), where he held discussions with Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), South Western Air Command, Air Marshal P.V. Shivanand, AVSM, VM, on enhancing joint operational capabilities.
The two senior commanders, along with senior officials from Headquarters SWAC, conducted a comprehensive operational review covering key issues related to joint planning, interoperability and force integration.
The discussions focused on strengthening Tri-Service jointness, enhancing operational synergy and advancing integrated planning to ensure the effective execution of joint operations. The interaction also underscored the importance of closer coordination between the Army and the Indian Air Force in improving operational preparedness and response capabilities.
The visit reflects the armed forces’ continued emphasis on fostering inter-service cooperation and building integrated operational capabilities to address evolving security challenges.
