The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has stepped up its on-ground support for the Indian contingent at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, putting in place a series of logistical and athlete-support measures to ensure a smooth campaign for the country’s athletes and support staff.
A dedicated Reception and Assistance Team comprising representatives of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), SAI and the Embassy of India in Japan has been deployed at the airport to assist athletes, coaches and support personnel arriving for the Games.
The team is helping with arrival formalities, providing refreshments and guiding members of the contingent as they make their way to designated accommodation and competition venues.
SAI has also made additional arrangements to address specific logistical requirements during the Games.
Transport facilities have been arranged for Indian shooters to facilitate their travel between accommodation and competition venues. Cars have also been provided to medical teams, enabling them to move efficiently between venues and offer timely assistance to athletes when required.
In addition, SAI has arranged extra accommodation for coaches and support staff who could not be accommodated by the Games Organising Committee amid limited room availability.
The support measures are being coordinated in close cooperation with the IOA, the Embassy of India and the Games Organising Committee. The focus is on ensuring seamless logistical, medical and operational support for the Indian contingent, allowing athletes to concentrate on their competition commitments at Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
