The Indian Army’s Southern Command has launched Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations in Sanduri Village, located in the Madhuban Dam area of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, following flooding that affected the region.
Working in close coordination with the civil administration, Army personnel, supported by civilian volunteers, evacuated vulnerable residents to a designated relief shelter. Medical teams provided on-site healthcare services, while essential food supplies and other relief materials were distributed to villagers who remained in the area.
According to officials, the relief effort is continuing, with Indian Army teams engaged in rescue and humanitarian assistance across flood-affected locations. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating efforts to ensure timely support for affected communities.
