Reinforcing its commitment to youth engagement and nation-building, the Spearhead Division under Spear Corps conducted an interactive motivational session and strategic weapon display for students of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Pasighat, as part of the University’s Orientation Programme for the Academic Session 2026–27 at Sigar, Arunachal Pradesh today.
The programme was aimed at familiarising students with the ethos of military service, leadership, discipline and the diverse career opportunities available in the Indian Armed Forces, while fostering patriotism, responsible citizenship and a deeper understanding of national security.
During the interaction, Indian Army officers emphasised that the Army’s greatest strength lies not only in its advanced weapon systems and technology but also in the character, courage and professionalism of its personnel. The students were encouraged to lead lives of integrity and purpose, with officers highlighting that national security is a shared responsibility requiring capable leadership and committed citizens across all sectors.
A key attraction of the event was the strategic weapon display, which offered students an opportunity to interact closely with serving soldiers and officers and gain first-hand insights into the operational role of various weapon systems and military equipment. The interactive sessions provided a deeper understanding of military life, operational preparedness, teamwork, discipline and leadership—core values that define the Indian Armed Forces.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students expressing keen interest in officer entry schemes, Agniveer recruitment and other career avenues in the Indian Army. An Army-themed selfie point added to the engagement, enabling participants to connect with the Armed Forces in an interactive and memorable manner.
The programme received an overwhelming response from the students and faculty of Rashtriya Raksha University. The initiative reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on inspiring the nation’s youth, nurturing future leaders and strengthening civil-military ties through meaningful outreach programmes across Arunachal Pradesh.
