The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Red Shield Division visited remote and isolated villages sinaikeithei and tingpibubg, inhabited by Tangkhul and Kuki communities to assess the prevailing situation and engage directly with the local populace.

During the visit, the GOC interacted with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and village headmen, holding constructive discussions focused on fostering mutual understanding and exploring peaceful resolutions to the ongoing tensions. Emphasising dialogue and cooperation, he urged all stakeholders to work collectively towards restoring harmony and stability in the region.

Reassuring the villagers, the GOC conveyed that the Indian Army remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all communities. He highlighted that the Army will continue to act as a neutral and reliable force, dedicated to protecting lives and maintaining peace.

The visit reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to build trust, strengthen community relations, anvd support long-term peace in the region.
