Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth visited Headquarters Western Command to review the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing combat capabilities.
During the visit, the COAS was briefed on the prevailing operational environment, force preparedness, training initiatives and measures being undertaken to further strengthen combat effectiveness. The briefing also covered ongoing efforts to enhance operational capabilities in line with the evolving security environment and emerging battlefield requirements.
General Dhiraj Seth emphasised the need for the Indian Army to remain agile, adaptive and technologically empowered to effectively respond to emerging and future security challenges. He underscored the importance of integrating modern technologies, strengthening operational networks and leveraging data-driven capabilities to maintain a decisive edge across the spectrum of conflict.
The COAS also highlighted the need for sustained focus on realistic training, operational preparedness and capability enhancement, urging commanders and troops to remain prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to evolving threats.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on combat readiness, technology-enabled operations, networking and data-centric decision-making as key pillars of future military capability.
The engagement comes in line with the Indian Army’s focus on the Year of Networking And Data Centricity, aimed at accelerating the integration of advanced networking and data-driven technologies into operational planning and execution.
