The Indian Navy commissioned INS Nipun, the second Diving Support Vessel (DSV) of the Nistar class, at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, today, significantly enhancing the force’s deep-sea diving, underwater intervention and submarine rescue capabilities. The ₹472 crore project will establish dedicated overhaul facilities for the Indian Army’s T-72 and T-90 tanks, with a planned capacity to overhaul 80 tanks annually.
