Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, Army Commander, Eastern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of Red Shield Division of the Army’s Spear Corps . He also visited the Red Shield Drone Lab at Leimakhong Military Station to assess strides made in indigenous unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technology and specialized combat training. The Army Commander was briefed on trailblazing initiatives in localized drone assembly, servicing, and overhauling ecosystems, effectively mitigating external supply chain dependencies.

He also witnessed live demonstrations of customized, mission-specific platforms engineered to dominate the region’s complex terrain and peculiar operational dynamics. A cornerstone of this initiative remains the technical empowerment of vanguard personnel through structured modules, equipping troops with niche technology to operate and maintain these advanced assets under adverse field conditions.

This enterprise underscores the unwavering commitment toward the ethos of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, ensuring frontline formations remain a lethal, self-reliant, and future-ready force capable of neutralizing evolving modern security challenges.
