Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh co-chaired a meeting with a delegation of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), led by David McAllister, in New Delhi on October 27, 2026, to discuss ways to strengthen the India–European Union Strategic Partnership.
Both sides underscored the importance of deepening cooperation in security and defence, reaffirming their shared commitment to expanding bilateral engagement amid evolving regional and global security challenges.
The discussions also covered issues relating to regional peace and security, with the two sides noting convergence on several matters of mutual interest.
