Indian long-distance runner Seema, a TOPS Development athlete, won the bronze medal in the women’s 10,000m final at the 2026 Asian Games, clocking 32:50.05.
Seema’s podium finish marks India’s first medal in the women’s 10,000m at the Asian Games since 2010, ending a 16-year wait for a medal in the event.
Winfred Yavi of Bahrain clinched the gold medal with a time of 32:39.18, while China’s Yingying Huang secured silver in 32:41.54.
Seema’s bronze adds another medal to India’s athletics campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and marks a significant milestone in her international career.
