Two commemorative postage stamps were released on Saturday to mark 20 years of BRICS cooperation, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit being held in New Delhi.
The stamps carry the inscription “BRICS: Two Decades of Cooperation, 2006–2026” in English and Hindi, celebrating the evolution of BRICS as an important platform for dialogue, cooperation and collective engagement among emerging economies.
The commemorative stamps also highlight the priorities of India’s BRICS Chairship 2026, centred on the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
The first stamp represents the emergence and evolution of BRICS as a platform founded on the principles of mutual respect, understanding and solidarity among member countries.
The second stamp features the BRICS logo and reflects the vision underpinning India’s 2026 chairship, with an emphasis on “humanity first” and a people-centric approach.
The release of the stamps marks a symbolic milestone in the two-decade journey of BRICS and highlights its growing role in fostering cooperation and addressing shared global challenges.
