Security forces intensified operations against insurgent and extortion networks in Manipur, with joint teams of the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps and Manipur Police conducting a series of intelligence-based operations across the state.

During a search operation in Imphal East, the forces recovered six firearms, while subsequent operations at Keishampat and Charangpat led to the apprehension of three active cadres of the UNLF (K) allegedly involved in an extortion network.

The coordinated operations reflect the sustained operational momentum of the security forces against illicit arms and insurgent networks in the state. The successful intelligence-driven actions also underscore close coordination between the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police in tackling threats to internal security and protecting civilians across the Northeast.

The operations reaffirm the security forces’ resolve to disrupt insurgent infrastructure, curb extortion and illegal arms activities, and maintain security and stability in Manipur.
