India men’s national team head coach Khalid Jamil has named a 26-player squad for the September-October FIFA International Match Window, with the Blue Tigers set to face Panama, Brazil and Uruguay in a series of high-profile international friendlies.
India will take on Panama in Bengaluru on September 26 before travelling to Kolkata for matches against five-time world champions Brazil on October 3 and two-time world champions Uruguay on October 6.
All three opponents featured at the FIFA World Cup earlier this year, giving India an opportunity to test themselves against some of the world’s top teams.
“This is a very important window for us, with three challenging matches against teams that have played at the World Cup. Playing Brazil and Uruguay in Kolkata, after facing Panama in Bengaluru, will give the players valuable experience at the international level. We will use the camp in Bengaluru to prepare well and approach each match with the right attitude and intensity.”

Jamil’s squad will begin its preparatory camp in Bengaluru on September 14. Following the Panama fixture, the Indian team will travel to Kolkata on September 28 for the matches against Brazil and Uruguay.

The squad includes goalkeepers Albino Gomes, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Prabhsukhan Singh Gill and Som Kumar, while Anwar Ali, Akash Mishra, Jay Gupta and Ricky Meetei Haobam are among the defenders. Anirudh Thapa, Lalengmawia Ralte, Sahal Abdul Samad and Farukh Choudhary feature in midfield, with Edmund Lalrindika, Irfan Yadwad, Manvir Singh, Rahim Ali, Ryan Williams and Vikram Partap Singh forming the forward line. Hrithik Tiwari, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Roshan Singh Naorem and Suresh Singh Wangjam have been named as reserves and can be called up if required.
