As part of Rongali Bihu celebrations and its ongoing youth outreach initiatives, the Indian Army’s Red Shield Gunners, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised the All Assam Marathon today.
Over 200 participants, including men and women from Digboi and nearby areas, took part in the marathon with great enthusiasm. The run commenced at 6am, covering the route from Makum Bypass to Bihutoli, Muliabari, with participants displaying grit, determination and stamina coupled with sporting enthusiasm.
This initiative by the Indian Army provided the youth of the region with a platform to channelise their energies in constructive pursuits while especially also building bonds of trust and promoting values of teamwork, resilience and national integration.
Such outreach efforts continue to enhance goodwill, strengthen civil–military cooperation and reaffirm the Indian Army’s commitment to community welfare and nation-building.
