The Baloch fighters has announced preparations for the observance of its Independence Day on 11 August, following its declaration as a free, independent, and sovereign nation. According to the statement, Baloch communities around the world are making arrangements to mark the occasion with dignity and pride.
In the statement, Mir Yar Baloch asserted that international law guarantees every nation the right to peacefully observe its Independence Day without external interference. He alleged that Pakistan has instead deployed state institutions and security forces across Balochistan to obstruct preparations for the commemorative events.
Mir Yar Baloch further claimed that Pakistani security forces are conducting a widespread campaign aimed at disrupting the celebrations. According to the statement, nearly two dozen Baloch women and around 50 Baloch youth have been forcibly abducted within the past week and taken to undisclosed locations. He also alleged that organisers involved in the Independence Day events continue to face harassment, intimidation, and threats.
In a strongly worded warning, Mir Yar Baloch stated that any continued attempts by Pakistan to prevent the 11 August observances could have consequences for Pakistan’s own Independence Day programmes on 14 August. He further declared that Pakistani flags would not be accepted in Balochistan, describing their display as a deliberate provocation. The statement concluded by calling on Islamabad to withdraw its flags and security forces from Balochistan.
