A purported declaration announcing the independence of Balochistan from Pakistan has sparked widespread debate after circulating extensively across social media platforms.
The document, issued in the name of the “Republic of Balochistan,” claims that the region has formally declared independence and established itself as a sovereign state. It further asserts that authorities representing the self-declared republic have adopted a national anthem, “Ma Chukain Balochani,” introduced a national flag, established a national currency known as the “Balochi Falus,” and now exercise control over approximately 85 percent of the territory of Balochistan.
According to the statement, these developments justify international recognition of the Republic of Balochistan. It also claims control over significant natural resources, including gold and copper mines, more than 150 active gas fields, and over 1,200 operational coal mines.
The declaration further states that the self-declared state is being administered through its own security and defense institutions. While acknowledging that these forces do not possess fighter aircraft, attack helicopters, tanks, missiles, or heavy artillery, the statement maintains that they exercise effective control over the territory. It also claims that a force of approximately 500,000 personnel, comprising military, naval, air force, and civil administration units, is prepared to challenge Pakistani forces by the end of 2026.
Additionally, the statement asserts that the people of the Republic of Balochistan have rejected Pakistan’s presence in the region. It also alleges that increasing numbers of Baloch and Pashtun personnel have resigned from the Pakistan Army, Police, Frontier Corps, and Levies.
According to the declaration, these developments demonstrate growing support for the self-declared republic. The statement further says that it will not permit Pakistani military forces to use Balochistan’s land, airspace, or coastline for activities that could destabilize neighboring countries.

Rather, it is a nation capable of contributing to global development, peace, and prosperity a country that is a blessing for the world rather than a burden.”-as he said.
The declaration concludes by calling on the international community to recognize the Republic of Balochistan as an independent state, arguing that such recognition would contribute to regional stability and mark a new chapter in the region’s political future.
At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from Pakistani authorities .
