Two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft undertook a demanding 23-hour transcontinental sortie, covering over 14,000 km from Delhi to Caracas. The aircraft landed at Maiquetía International Airport, delivering critical humanitarian assistance.
The mission carried approximately 66 tonnes of relief material, including a fully equipped Indian Army Field Hospital, over 35 tonnes of medical supplies and equipment, along with two BHISHM Cubes, enhancing emergency medical response capability on arrival.
This high-intensity strategic airlift underscores India’s expanding global humanitarian footprint and the Indian Air Force’s ability to project rapid relief assistance across continents. The operation reinforces India’s role as a dependable first responder in times of crisis and a committed partner in international humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations.
