Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Headquarters of Fire and Fury Corps in Ladakh and reviewed its operational preparedness, combat readiness, and ongoing capability development initiatives in the strategically significant region.
During the visit, the COAS was briefed in detail on the prevailing security situation along the northern borders, the formation’s operational posture, infrastructure enhancement projects, and ongoing efforts to strengthen surveillance mechanisms, mobility corridors, and integrated combat capabilities in high-altitude terrain.
General Upendra Dwivedi commended all ranks of the Corps for their exceptional professionalism, unwavering dedication, and steadfast commitment while operating in one of the world’s most demanding operational environments. He appreciated their sustained efforts in maintaining high levels of readiness under extreme climatic and geographical conditions.
He further exhorted all personnel to remain mission-focused, operationally agile, and fully prepared to respond effectively to emerging and evolving security challenges.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on enhancing operational readiness, capability development, and infrastructure augmentation in forward areas as part of its broader transformation and modernization drive.
