As part of Project Navbharat, the Spearhead Division conducted a ‘Know Your Army’ outreach programme at Sigar Military Station, bringing together students and NCC cadets for an immersive exposure to Army life and operations.

The initiative was designed to enhance awareness of the Indian Army’s role, instil a sense of discipline and national pride, and provide young participants with a closer understanding of military ethos and service conditions. Over 100 students, accompanied by faculty members, took part in the programme and engaged directly with serving personnel.

A major feature of the event was a structured briefing on Operation Sindoor, offering insights into operational planning, professionalism, and the Army’s capability in modern combat environments. The session highlighted the importance of preparedness and coordination in contemporary military operations.

Participants were also exposed to a range of defence equipment displays, including modern weapon systems, surveillance platforms, and drone technologies, reflecting the evolving nature of battlefield capabilities and technological integration in the Armed Forces.

The programme further included live firing demonstrations and a battle obstacle course, allowing students to observe the physical and mental demands of military training. These activities provided a practical understanding of endurance, discipline, and teamwork required in uniformed service.

The outreach concluded with interactive discussions between students and Army personnel, generating strong engagement and curiosity about defence careers.

Through initiatives like Project Navbharat, the Indian Army continues to strengthen its outreach to youth across the country, encouraging leadership values, civic responsibility, and awareness of national security.
