    General Upendra Dwivedi Visits HQ IGAR (East), Reviews Security Preparedness and Inter-Agency Synergy

    General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited Assam Rifles and Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) [HQ IGAR (East)] to review the operational preparedness and overall readiness of the force.

    During the visit, the COAS was briefed on the prevailing operational environment, force capabilities, technology infusion initiatives, inter-agency coordination mechanisms, and the various nation-building activities being undertaken by Spear Corps and HQ IGAR (East).

    The COAS commended the troops of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles for maintaining high standards of professionalism, operational excellence, and combat readiness in the challenging terrain. He lauded their unwavering dedication, commitment to duty, and exemplary state of preparedness in safeguarding national security.

    In recognition of distinguished service and outstanding performance, the COAS also presented Commendation Cards to selected personnel, acknowledging their professionalism, devotion to duty, and significant contributions towards enhancing operational effectiveness.
