    NCC CADETS COMPLETED TRAINING CAMP AT NALBARI

    The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-34 conducted by 1 Assam Battalion NCC under Guwahati Group concluded successfully today at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nalbari.

    The ten-day camp, held from 23 May to 01 June 2026, brought together 520 NCC cadets, boys and girls of both Senior and Junior Division (SD) from schools and colleges across Guwahati, Nalbari, Rangia and Tamulpur . The camp was aimed at imparting basic military training and developing leadership, discipline, character, and a spirit of selfless service among the youth.

    During the camp, cadets underwent intensive training in drill, weapon handling, map reading,and firing practice. A series of special lectures was also organized on leadership, national integration, and social service to broaden the cadets’ knowledge and awareness on contemporary issues. Career Guidance lectures by ARO Narangi and Faculties from Assam Skill University were also organised.

    A major highlight of the camp was the visit of Brig NC Khuman, Group Commander, Guwahati Group, on 27 May 2026. During his visit, he reviewed the training activities, interacted with cadets and staff, and emphasized the vital role of the National Cadet Corps in shaping disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens.

    The camp concluded with a ceremonial closing function presided over by the Camp Commandant. During the ceremony, prizes were awarded to outstanding cadets and winning schools and colleges for their exceptional performance in various training and competitive events.

    The successful completion of CATC-34 marked another significant step of NCC in nurturing future leaders and responsible citizens of Assam through the transformative training and value-based education imparted by NCC Guwahati Group, NER Directorate.
