Short Range Ballistic Missile ‘Agni-1’ was successfully test-launched from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha today. The launch validated all operational and technical parameters. The test was carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC ).
The successful launch marks yet another significant milestone in India’s strategic defence preparedness, further strengthening the credibility of the nation’s minimum credible deterrence capability.
Agni-I is an indigenously developed short-range, surface-to-surface ballistic missile built under India’s strategic missile programme. Designed for rapid deployment and high mobility, the missile is capable of carrying both conventional and strategic payloads.
