The fourth edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course is set to commence at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, on August 3. The four-week programme is being conducted under the aegis of the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS).
The course brings together officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, alongside representatives from government organisations, academia, industry and strategic think tanks, to examine the evolving character of modern warfare and future security challenges.
Designed to enhance joint understanding and strategic thinking, the curriculum covers a broad spectrum of emerging domains, including geopolitical developments, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, cyber and cognitive warfare, information warfare, autonomous systems, grey-zone operations, multi-domain operations and technology-enabled warfare. It will also explore future operational concepts across the land, maritime, air and space domains.
During the programme, participants will attend lectures and interactive sessions delivered by senior military leaders, policymakers, scientists, industry experts and subject matter specialists. The course aims to foster informed discussions on emerging operational challenges and strengthen preparedness for the rapidly evolving future battlefield through greater inter-service synergy and collaboration.
